Mas Imágenes

As promised here are the rest of my pictures. All of these are from my Spanish meetings. They're all pretty much self explanatory. Overall the meetings were really fun and other than a few minor bumps they went smoothly. I hope you have enjoyed my pictures and my blog! Adios!

Las Imágenes

Long time no see! I have finally uploaded my product pictures, so here they are for your viewing pleasure.

These are just the pictures of my set up process. The first three are obviously of me practicing my cooking before I actually teach my fellow classmates. The other two are of me making advertisements to get people to come to my meetings. In the first picture you can see that the paella (bottom of the picture) turned out great while the tortilla espanola (middle of the picture) turned out not so great, but this is why I practiced. Overall I did an equal amount of time practicing cooking as I did making advertisements and organizing the meetings. I didn't plan on this happening the way it did but it did. I guess I can add this to the things the graduation project has taught me: always allot for more time than you predict you'll need.

I will have the rest of the pictures up tomorrow but until then, Adios!

bienvenida a mi blog!

Hola y bienvenida a mi blog! Which of course means "Hello and welcome to my blog". For my graduation project I decided to explore how food and culture are related, and for my product I took this study even further by teaching my fellow classmates how to cook traditional Spanish meals. More specifically traditional Spanish meals served during La Feria de Abril, which is a festival held in Spain the week after Holy Week.
Holy Week is the week leading up to Easter in Spain and during this week people flood the streets to witness parades and all sorts of activities. Holy Week is a very serious time and many people go to church to confess their sins. After this week long ordeal many people attend La Feria de Abril. La Feria de Abril is a much less serious event. During La Feria de Abril one can dance, laugh, drink, and eat good food with people they love.
Well now that you know a little about my project I can't wait to share with you what I've done. Unfortunately my teacher told our class about the blog after I had already finished my project so I will walk you through how I made my product a success. I hope to get my pictures posted soon but until then, Adiós.
